Kansas City’s heritage includes numerous historical trails and sites scattered throughout the region, many of which are being commemorated or restored. Other landmarks have been lost, but their stories remain. These stories include restoration of a Conestoga-style wagon that dates to 1838, and updates to the Harris-Kearney House, whose history includes the long-ago stories of Native Americans, immigrants and the enslaved population.
