Centre County lost a number of businesses in 2024, from restaurants to pharmacies and furniture stores.

The reasons for closures varied, with national trends also influencing the Centre County business scene. Rite Aide, for example, closed all of its Centre County locations as a result of Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring.
