Here's a roundup of restaurant inspections The Bee has reported on this year.

January, 2024 - August, 2024
Every week, The Sacramento Bee publishes restaurant inspection reports.

This year, Sacramento County health inspectors have identified and shut down numerous local restaurants and markets for severe health infractions including the presence of pests and significant sanitation problems. Numerous facilities received yellow placards signifying critical yet addressable issues, while red placards indicated immediate threats to public health necessitating closures. Instances included German cockroach infestations and improperly stored meat at various locations. In another notable case, a restaurant had to address the presence of mold and vermin-borne fecal matter before reopening.

Most restaurants fully pass reinspection within 72 hours. For updates on your favorite restaurants, you can search the county website at inspections.myhealthdepartment.com/sacramento.
